Sire: Buddenbrock.
Dam: Caro-Dame II.
Connery is a tall (170 cm), elegant, and very handsome stallion, licensed for Trakehner, Hannover and Oldenburg.
Connery comes from the long established Trakehner stud farm Hoerem, started in 1927 by Family Poll. MANY years ago (1981 or 2) My friend and fellow breeder Judy Yancey bought her very best young Trakehner stallion , MAHON, at this farm, so her association with Hoerem goes back a long way. She admires and trusts in the breeding program there, and CONNERY has proven that he blends well with Hanoverian and Oldenburg mares.
Many breeders, me included, find ourselves with mares that we would like to refine. Well, it is hard to find a "refining" stallion these days; all the young stallions being licensed are of strong caliber to huge! Of the Trakehner stallions available to breeders, I believe this sire, CONNERY, is the safest bet as far as transmitting type, TEMPERAMENT, willingness to work, as well as suppleness and elasticity through the body. Connery was licensed in Neumuenster in 2000. He then completed the 30-day test in Adelheidsdorf and later qualified for the Bundeschampionat to complete his stallion approval. . He also was approved for breeding with the Hanoverian Verband.
The mother of Connery, Caro Lady is a half sister of Consul, who is a legendary supplier of sport and breeding horses. Caro Lady, who comes of the high performance mare line of Corrida (by Bussard), is by Caro As by Flaneur.
