Sire: Cassini I.
Dam: Lacosta.
Cancara Z, a showjumping crack from the dam's line of Cöster! This very capable Holsteiner Cancara Z already made a deep impression with his enormous showjumping potential during his licensing in Neumünster. Like the famous Grand Prix showjumping stallions Berlin (Gerco Schröder) and Cumano (Jos Lansink) also Cancara Z is a son of the much valued progenitor Cassini I, who himself had displayed his qualities at the highest level of the sport under Franke Sloothaak. Dam's sire Corofino I (Corrado I) had himself also been active in the international sport for many years under Valerio Sozzi. But Corofino I has also earned a good reputation as sire of the Olympic showjumping horses Corlato (Tim Stockdale) and Russel (Nick Skelton). In the dam's line we further find two fine sons of Cor de la Bryère, namely Constant and Calypso I. Great-grandam Rominta (Flamingo) is no-one less than the full sister of the mare Trinidad, who is grandam of the extremely successful showjumping miracle Cöster (Calato Z) on which Christian Ahlmann won the European title in Donaueschingen in 2003. This Holsteiner lineage 162 is one of the best sport horse families world-wide and also supplied the Olympic showjumping horses Feinschnitt I Z (Luis Astolfi), Carthago Z (Jos Lansink), Canturo (Bernardo Alves), Waterford Crystal (Cian O'Connor) and Sapphire (Mark Watring).
