Sire: Calido I.
Dam: Gina.
Holsteiner Stamm 5889
Calito was approved during the 2014 Holsteiner stallion approvals. He is a very modern typed stallion and showed very good technique and reflexes during his free jumping at the approvals.
Calito's sire Calido has earned around 3 million Euro from his offspring's performances in Germany, alone. There were three Calido offspring in the Hong Kong Olympics in 2008: California with Taizo Sugitani (JPN), Cayak DH with Eiken Sato (JPN) and Nobless M with Pius Schwizer from Switzerland. In Germany, Calido has 59 approved sons and one of his most famous sons so far is Coupe de Coeur who competed at 1.60m with René Tebbel and Ludger Beerbaum.
Calito's mother Gina VVXI (by Calato) is halfsister to Louis (by Landlord) who jumped at 1.40m and is approved with the ZFDP. His great grandmother Replik (by Farnese) produced the 1.40m jumping horse Can (by Capriccio). Calito was purchased at the 2014 Holsteiner Verband Annual Stallion Approval and Auction. His sire, Calido is considered to be one of the best Holstein stallions of these times. Calido's offspring are known for their type, jumping ability and technique as well as their rideability.
His dam sire, Calato is one of the most prolific sons of Capitol. He competed successful with Herbert Blocker, who started him in the Bundeschampionart. Under the Danish Junior Jennifer Pedersen Foghd, he continued his career, and the pair won the Scandinavian and the Danish Championship of Young Riders. Calato produces offspring with great temperaments, exceptional movements, good scope and excellent rideability.
Calito continues the line of his sire and dam sire with a great temperament, beautiful movement, and great jumping technique. After completing his 70-day test in Germany in 2015, he was imported to the U.S. He will begin his competition career in 2017.
